The Ice Cube model can be said to be the first handle in ground crystal, that is, obtained from a sheet of technical and super-transparent glass. In this “game of simplified volumes” typical of the language of Dominique Perrault – thanks also to the collaboration of Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost – the inspiration comes from a tool such as the clamp used naturally on construction sites to hold together different shapes and materials.
